It was first introduced as an alternative to the gas-guzzling vehicles from the Detroit “Big 3,” referring to the manufacturers General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler, at a time when fuel shortages were plaguing the nation. It features unique sport bucket seats with bolsters, along with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
