About Joey


Joey Gabarda was born and raised in the automotive capital of the United States, Detroit, Michigan. His passion for automobiles began as a child. Joey’s father worked for Chrysler for 35 years.

Through education, Joey pursued and continued his passion for cars. He graduated with a BBA in Automotive Marketing Management from Northwood University and attended NADA Dealer Academy. His professional career has taken him all over the country. His management experience includes managing the number one Chevrolet store in the world located in Grapevine, Texas and Sutherlin Nissan of Marietta, Georgia. A top 5 U.S. Nissan store.

In 2015, Joey brought his leadership and management skills to West Texas by acquiring Classic Honda of Midland. His mission is to change the way dealers conduct business with customers in the Permian Basin. “The family relationship and customer loyalty are what we value. We want to be more transparent and make it easier to do business with our customers,” expressed Joey.

Joey is the proud father of Ava and Jag. He has been married to the love his life, Erin, for 16 years. They love living in Midland and giving back to the West Texas Community which has embraced them.

Joey is a current board member of the High Sky Children’s Ranch and is one of the sponsors of the Ranch’s Crystal Ball event that raises funds for the children and families they serve.

For six consecutive years Joey has been a platinum-level sponsor of Bustin’ for Badges, an annual sporting clays tournament benefiting the Midland and Ector County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Midland and Odessa Police Departments.

He has partnered with Trinity School’s Life Skills 101 program to help teach graduating seniors the importance of financial education.

Joey is an ardent supporter of Game Ready USA and sponsors a unique program that helps kids with special needs get exercise and develop strength at Game Ready.

Joey is also the head coach and board member for West Texas Lacrosse. West Texas Lacrosse, Inc. is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Texas with 501(c)(3) status that encourages fitness through the sport of lacrosse.

During the holidays, the Gabarda family gives back to the community annually by sponsoring Midland County Greater Work’s Turkey Trot. He and his wife, Erin, also provide a full Thanksgiving feast for a local family. They also donate a cash gift to a family in need for Christmas.
