Classic Honda of Midland Christmas Giveaway Winners

Local Dealership Teams Up with Midland Police Department for 4th Annual Holiday Giveaway

Midland, TX – Classic Honda of Midland is excited to announce the recipients of this year’s Christmas Gift Card Giveaway. Every year, we ask West Texans to nominate someone they felt needed some financial help or wanted to pay it forward to this holiday season. We received more than 50 nominations for this year’s giveaway. For the first time in the 4-year history of this giveaway, we have selected two people as our grand prize winners

Here are the winners, along with their nomination stories:

• James – – “I want to nominate my grandpa. He is in his 80s but has been the biggest blessing and help for me this year. I had to have surgery in June. My husband stayed with me but he had my kids stay with him while I was in the 1st few days if recovery. If my kids needed to go somewhere, he would take them. After recovery in September (actually on my birthday), I got sick. He took my kids in that day as a precaution so they wouldn't get sick. I ended up with flu b, pneumonia and covid all within 5 days. He brought groceries, took my kids to and from school, picked up my meds, especially since I was and am still currently on supplement oxygen. He kept my kids almost for the full month of September and never complained or asked for anything. He continues to take my kids to school and do things for me without asking. He has been the biggest blessing I could have asked for throughout all of this specially when it was so hard for me to even drink eat or anything. He doesn't have alot but he has given me everything. I would like to nominate him for his love he gives which is without measure or stipulations. He even gives to others so much and he doesn't stop giving, even if he has to go without. And this right here is what I wish to show my gratitude for. I want him to know it hasn't gone unnoticed.” -Diana
• Ana – “I nominate my mom, Ana Cazares. She has taken in 3 of my kids to care for as my husband and I are in the hospital with our youngest daughter Jeniyse of 20 months old. She was diagnosed with Cancer on September 20 ,2021. As of that moment, my mom has stepped up and taken charge of my 3 kids, ages 12, 9, and 4. I’m very grateful and appreciative for all her help during this stressful time in our lives. We are still currently in the hospital in Lubbock fighting this horrible disease with our baby. But I’m at ease while we have to be away that she cares and provides anything they need.” -Denise

“James’ and Ana’s stories just touched our hearts here at Classic Honda of Midland,” said Joey Gabarda, owner of Classic Honda of Midland. “We’re so happy that we could lift their spirits this holiday season. We would also like to say ‘thank you’ to every one who submitted a nomination. It was a tough year to pick a winner since every story was heartfelt and inspiring.”

Each winner received a $500 gift card. In addition to that prize, the Midland Police Department threw in an extra $100 for each recipient.
