Classic Honda Of Midland Helps Local Teenagers Get Ready For The Real World
Each year Classic Honda partners with Trinity School of Midland to offer an auto-care workshop to the school’s 32 seniors. It is part of the Trinity’s Life One-On-One program. The goal of the program is to prepare students for life beyond Trinity by teaching them life skills such as self-defense, clothing care, CPR and other valuable life skills.
On March 3rd, 2020 students attended the workshop at Classic Honda of Midland where they learned the following skills:
- Vehicle Car Basics:
- how to check a vehicle's oil level
- how to change a tire safely
- how to jump start a vehicle
- Credit basics:
- How to create good credit early
- Why good credit is important
- How to check your credit
“When I was their age, I didn't have anyone to teach me these skills” said Joey Gabarda, owner of Classic Honda of Midland. “These are important skills they need especially as they are about to go out into the world on their own”
Classic Honda of midland participates in several community events each year. Giving back to the Midland community is a priority at Classic Honda of Midland.
